Starter Pellets are high in energy that are designed to be grow and fatten Calves that are up to 5 months of age. These pellets contain a unique combination of cooked cereals, Lactose (milk sugar), sugars as well as more complex starches, this gives this diet a well-balanced release of energy.

​The protein also comes from a range of quality protein sources, legumes, canola and cereals. This blend of proteins gives a good profile of amino acids that help in the maximum uptake of protein by your livestock.

The high energy pellets contain relative high fibre levels of the HG Starter Pellet, this gives it a particular level of safety that is required to ensure that acidosis is not at play within your livestock. There is also a quality Vitamin/mineral pre-mix along with a quality buffer included. 

Starter Pellets has been formulated with one other parameter in mind, Palatability, this is a quality that is often forgotten in formulation but is important to ensure that “shy feeders” are encouraged to feed.  The palatability is achieved by the use of unique quality palatable ingredients in a combination that suits calves and lambs of this age.

Maintenance pellets are designed to Maintain Sheep and cattle where pasture is not adequate to meet their nutritional needs. These pellets contain a mix of ingredients that is balanced to meet the needs of the following class of stock: dry sheep, wethers, pregnant ewe’s in early to mid-gestation, rams, Steer’s, Dry cows and pregnant Cows up to mid-gestation and non-working Bulls. It is also a safe feed to feed to other ruminant animals, but not recommended for horses.
