Performer is a pelleted feed specifically formulated to meet the increased nutritional requirements of your performance horse. It is prepared with highly digestible fibres, quality high fat ingredients and a moderate starch level to meet higher energy demands. Performer also includes our scientifically formulated GastroPak to help protect against gastric ulcers and promote digestive health.
Performer contains controlled sugar and starch (NSC) levels (20% maximum) to support the advanced energy needs of performance horses. Performer harnesses the power of ‘super fibres’, which are highly fermentable fibres that are broken down by the microbes in your horse's gut to produce energy in the form of molecules called Volatile Fatty Acids (VFAs). VFAs can contribute up to 70% of your horse’s energy requirements and are slow release, providing a sustained source of energy to keep your horse performing at their best.
It is no secret that performance horses have a very high risk for digestive issues such as gastric ulcers and hindgut acidosis with an estimated 95% of performance horses having gastric ulcers. This is why we have included our scientifically formulated GastroPak in Performer. GastroPak contains high-quality, natural ingredients including a gastric buffer made from sustainably sourced plant-based marine minerals and Diamond V XPC postbiotics to support hindgut health. GastroPak helps your horse’s gastrointestinal tract defend against issues like gastric ulcers and hindgut acidosis to keep your horse happy, healthy and performing at their best.

- Your horse should be receiving a minimum of 1% of their body weight with quality forage such as hay, pasture and/or chaff.
- Make changes in your horse’s diet gradually over at least a two-week period.
- Be sure to always have fresh and clean water available to your horse.
- Our suggested feeding rates are a guide only. The quantity to feed your horse will depend on their activity level, body condition and the quality of roughage available to them
